The retail market is changing for quite some years by now. Many established Retail-players disappeared last years, competition with internet sales and worldwide product availability are leading to more unattractive parts of City center and also large shopping centers. And this process is still continuing, even during economic positive development periods. Traditional customers are able to choose from a very wide and complete offer and don’t have to leave home for this anymore. M2Leisure made several surveys in Dutch cities analyzing the main opportunities for the cities and to define the required adapted approach to make cities interesting to visit again by (new) visitors.

Especially in these circumstances M2Leisure is able to combine the (international) experiences in Retail, Leisure and Hospitality and take “the best of three worlds” to make a complete new destination concept. This resulted in the “Be-LéeF!” concept. The first Be-LééF! concept now is being created in Bergen op Zoom in the Netherlands. In strong, intensive and structural collaboration with the municipality of the city and other stakeholders, the “Be-LééF!”concept is born.

Role of M2Leisure in this process is to bring different parties together and design this new concept in which Retail- Leisure and Hospitality offer are creating a strong traffic builder for a much wider catchment area by which also existing retail and Hospitality offer will benefit strongly.
